Punk Voyage

Director: Jukka Kärkkäinen, Jani-Petteri Passi

Country: Finland

Running Time: 100′

UK Premiere

Year: 2017

In 2012 The Punk Syndrome bought ‘Finland’s last punk rock band’ Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät (PKN) international fame. In The Punk Voyage we find Pertti, Sami, Toni and Kari, all of whom have autism or Down’s syndrome, determined to make one last mark on the public consciousness with a run to the Eurovision Song Contest. Despite being pulled apart by temptation, egos and love triangles they make it through the competition and back to the mosh pit in a joyful tribute to the collective energy of punk and the healing power of music.
