
In Conversation with Sara Driver
The lynchpin of the American independent film scene in the 80s, Sara Driver announced herself with her brilliant debut You Are Not I (1982) which French movie bible Cahiers Du Cinema named one of the best films of the 80s. She produced the early films of Jim Jarmusch and her own two surrealist directorial features Sleepwalk (1986) and When Pigs Fly (1993) met with high acclaimed. Her documentary on artist Basquiat, Boom For Real, is opening East End Film Festival and this is a rare chance to hear the artist talk about her work, art and inspirations.
