Founded in 2000, the East End Film Festival is one of the UK’s largest film festivals. An annual not-for-profit multi-platform festival held in London, the EEFF presents a rich and diverse programme of international premieres, industry masterclasses, free pop-up screenings and immersive live events. The East End Film Festival’s established awards system includes Best Feature, Best UK Short Film, and the EEFF Audience Award. New for 2018 is our EEFF Transit Award, a developmental award for a second time director valued at £10,000. Read more

EEFF offers the UK’s most targeted and specific professional development programme. Aimed at addressing the huge drop-off between first and second feature filmmaking, Mind the Gap equips filmmakers to establish a sustainable career in the industry. Mind the Gap, now be supplemented by the EEFF Transit Award, will return in expanded form in 2019. Read more
