The Marriage

Director: Blerta Zequiri

Country: Kosovo/Albania

Running Time: 98′

UK Premiere

Year: 2017

Ten years after the Kosovo War, Bekim and Anita are getting married. Amidst the preparations, Nol, an old friend of Bekim, is visiting from abroad. What Anita doesn’t know is that Bekim and Nol used to be lovers and that they are still in love with each other. With three brilliant performances in its core, Blerta Zequiri’s debut feature is a heartbreaking yet sincere relationship drama that delves into Kosovo’s troubled past through the lens of two crumbling relationships clinging to both hope and fear.
~Dimitris Boutourelis – Grammatikopoulos

Filmmaker Blerta Zequiri and producer Keka Berisha are expected to attend and participate in a post-screening Q&A.

With the support of the Mohammed Farsi Foundation.
